Santa Rosa Hotels
When visiting either the Russian River Valley wineries or Dry Creek Valley wineries, the Santa Rosa hotels are a great option for an overnight stay. Santa Rosa CA is about 45 miles north of San Francisco and has a variety of Sonoma County hotels. It is also a little larger than some of the other towns near wine country, so it has plenty of options. Here are some recommendations for every budget: Hilton Sonoma Wine Country 3555 Round Barn Blvd. Santa Rosa, CA 95403 $84 - $209 This hotel is a little less convenient than some of the others mentioned, but it’s one of the best budget friendly hotels in Santa Rosa. It’s located just a couple of miles off Hwy 101 and about 3 miles from downtown Santa Rosa. The hotel sits on landscaped grounds that cover 13 acres which includes an outdoor heated pool and spa tub. There are 246 rooms with either a king sized bed or two queens beds. All rooms include wireless internet access and cable TV. The hotel as has a restaurant onsite with a gorgeous view of the Santa Rosa Valley.
Best Western Garden Inn 1500 Santa Rosa Avenue Santa Rosa, CA 95404 $99 - $149 Located just 2 miles from downtown Santa Rosa, the Best Western Garden Inn is another one of the great Santa Rosa hotels options for the budget minded traveler. The hotel has 78 rooms and views of the quiet garden landscape and surrounding hills. It features two seasonal outdoor pools, high speed internet access and the Garden Café which is open daily for breakfast. This hotel also has 50 pet friendly rooms reserved for animals that are 50 pounds or less. Hotel La Rose 308 Wilson Street Santa Rosa, CA 95401 800-527-6738 $129 - $259 The Hotel La Rose was originally built in 1907 and recently listed as one of the Historic Hotels of America. One of the Santa Rosa hotels conveniently located in downtown Santa Rosa, the Hotel La Rose has 47 rooms all with marble and bass bathrooms. Nineteen of the rooms surround their amazing rose garden courtyard and also have their own private patio or balcony. This hotel is historic, but also offers modern conveniences such as high speed internet access and cable televisions. The award winning Josefs Restaurant and Bar is located in the hotel lobby. Courtyard by Marriott Santa Rosa 175 Railroad Street Santa Rosa, CA 95401 800-551-2409 $119 - $264 One of the many Santa Rosa hotels located downtown on the historic Railroad Square, this five-story hotel was newly renovated in March 2007. I recently stayed at this hotel and it was a great option. It offers an outdoor heated pool, spa tub, fitness room and wireless internet access throughout the hotel. There is also a small on-site 24 hour market that sells snacks and beverages. It has 138 rooms all with cable TV and free HBO. Vintners Inn 4350 Barnes Road Santa Rosa, CA 95403 $206 - $525 Vintners Inn is a 44-room luxury hotel surrounded by acres of vineyards and beautifully landscaped grounds. Located just a short drive to wine country and downtown Santa Rosa, this four diamond hotel has deluxe guest rooms with king sized beds and their own balcony or patio. The hotel offers a two-mile vineyard trail, in room massages, complimentary breakfast and a whirlpool spa. Just a few steps away is the award winning restaurant John Ash & Co.
