Napa Valley Wine Train

The Napa Valley Wine Train is a very popular rolling restaurant and train tour through Napa Valley. It includes a variety of tour options and the most popular is the trip north to St. Helena. It runs twice a day on weekdays and three times a day on the weekends. This section provides a quick overview of some of the tours. The 36 mile trip north to St. Helena lasts about three hours and includes amazing views of the Napa Valley Wine region. Along the way, you can enjoy wine from the trains wine bar that features hundreds of different wines. One of the many train trip options is to stop and tour a select winery in the Napa Valley region, but that is the only stop along the way.

The main focus of the trip is the ride. Although it offers food and wine tasting, the best part about the trip is really the leisurely, slow train ride through the valley. I recommend that you sit on the west side of the train since it has the best views of the valley.

The train trip options start at around $50 and that includes just the ride. If you want to stop at a winery along the way, or if you want to have the meal included, the price is around $80 to $100 per person.
