Learn more about the large annual Napa Events including the Napa Mustard Festival, the Napa Valley Auction and more. There are so many different Napa Valley events that it is hard to cover them all. The events below are the largest and most well-known annual events for this popular wine region.
The largest and most well-known annual event in Napa Valley is the Mustard Festival. This event spreads out over several months and has many corresponding smaller events at different wineries and other locations around Napa Valley. It usually starts in late January and lasts until the first part of May.
The celebration is just in time to see some of the beautiful yellow blooming mustard fields. It's a great time to take some beautiful pictures of Napa Valley and try some new wines while you are there.
Unfortunately, the Mustard Festival is taking a hiatus in 2011 due to the economy. They were unable to fully secure the funding needed to make the full event happen. They had a few smaller events in March, but the larger annual celebrations are not taking place this year.
The organizers are hoping to make 2012 an even better year for this event. I'll provide updates to the 2012 event as I learn more about the event details. Stay tuned!
Arts in April is a month long celebration in Napa Valley. The goal of the event is to focus on the connection between wine and art.
Many of the wineries in Napa Valley participate in this event. There are a number of different events during the month at many different locations including many wineries, galleries, studios, etc.
Some of the events are free and some have an associated cost. You can also purchase a $20 Founders Ticket for the month which allows you to get into all of the events for the cost of that ticket.

The film festival is an opportunity to enjoy a little wine while watching original documentaries, shorts, animation and some feature films. The films are broken out into themes, so you can select the types of films you would like to watch.
Films are shown both outdoors and in a handful of theaters throughout Napa Valley, Kenwood and Santa Rosa. Learn more about the festival and buy your tickets today on their web site at: http://www.winecountryfilmfest.com/
